About Jones Reeves Recovery Centers, Inc.

Our Mission

Jones Reeves Recovery Centers was founded by reunited biological brothers, Micah T. Reeves and Maurice Jones, whose lives were profoundly shaped by a shared family history of substance use disorder. Both sons of parents who struggled with addiction, Micah and Maurice were separated at birth and raised in different parts of the country—yet each found their own path into service, advocacy, and a commitment to healing.

Their remarkable reunion years later was more than personal—it was transformational. Micah, a licensed healthcare attorney and a person in long-term recovery, spent his career operating and advising behavioral health programs with a focus on compliance, access, and patient dignity. Maurice, a Nebraska public servant, former police officer, and passionate community organizer, emerged as a local leader with strong roots in Omaha’s underserved neighborhoods and firsthand insight into the systemic gaps in behavioral healthcare.

Together, they envisioned something bold: a national network of licensed, in-patient behavioral health centers grounded in trauma-informed care, operational excellence, and the belief that recovery must be accessible, community-connected, and deeply human. Through their shared story—and the healing power of reconnection—Jones Reeves Recovery Centers stands as a model of what’s possible when purpose, expertise, and lived experience come together.

Micah Taylor Reeves

General Counsel | Healthcare Attorney | Litigation Strategist

Micah T. Reeves is an Illinois-licensed attorney with a dual concentration in corporate and healthcare law as well as complex personal injury litigation. He currently serves as General Counsel for Veltex Corporation and Veltex Recovery Group, while also practicing litigation at Schwartz Jambois in Chicago.

At Veltex Recovery Group, a 64-bed licensed behavioral health center in Mount Hope, West Virginia, Mr. Reeves plays a central leadership role in operational strategy and legal oversight. His responsibilities include regulatory compliance, facility licensing, staffing management, payroll, EHR implementation, and grant development. He also oversees contract negotiations, SEC compliance, corporate governance, and strategic marketing for Veltex Corporation and its subsidiaries—ensuring alignment with shareholder interests and maximizing treatment center capacity.

In his litigation role at Schwartz Jambois, Mr. Reeves handles high-volume, high-stakes cases involving medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, wrongful death, and catastrophic personal injury. He has led hundreds of case management conferences across Illinois courts and has achieved significant client victories, including the reduction of over $2 million in Medicare liens in nursing home-related settlements. He is also a key member of the firm’s marketing team, working closely with vendors to develop social media campaigns and targeted advertising strategies that support client outreach and brand visibility.

With a rare combination of hands-on healthcare operations experience and courtroom-tested litigation skills, Mr. Reeves brings an innovative, compliance-forward approach to both legal advocacy and behavioral health leadership.

Maurice Jones

Community Advocate | Small Business Owner | Public Servant

Maurice Jones is a passionate and forward-thinking leader from North Omaha, Nebraska, whose commitment to equity, empowerment, and community transformation is rooted in both lived experience and civic action. At just 26 years old, Maurice made headlines as a Democratic candidate for Omaha City Council District 2 in the 2025 election—emerging as a bold new voice for underserved communities.

A former police officer and current college student, Maurice brings a rare combination of public safety insight, entrepreneurial experience, and grassroots advocacy to everything he does. As a small business owner, he understands the barriers that local entrepreneurs face; as a product of North Omaha himself, he’s deeply connected to the challenges and potential of his district.

During his 2025 city council campaign, Maurice prioritized transformational community investment, centering his platform around:

  • Food access and the creation of urban agriculture zones to address food deserts.

  • Job creation and workforce development, including expanded support for small business incubators and trade programs.

  • Safe and affordable housing, advocating for incentives to empower local contractors and repair businesses to restore aging residential properties.

  • Public infrastructure upgrades, such as improved lighting, transit, and road conditions, especially in historically neglected neighborhoods.

  • Education equity, including after-school and technical training programs designed to prepare youth for diverse, meaningful career paths.

  • Transparent and accountable leadership, pledging to bring integrity and direct communication back to city governance.

Although he did not advance past the primary election, Maurice's campaign left a lasting impact and cemented his role as a rising leader with vision, compassion, and an unwavering drive to serve. Today, Maurice continues to engage in public service initiatives, partner with community organizations, and build on the relationships formed during his campaign to advocate for policies that uplift North Omaha and beyond.
